FATHER OF HOPE OUTREACH MINISTRIES (FAHOOM) is an organisation found in Kyalusowe A cell, Samaliya Ward village, Nyendo Mukungwe in Masaka city a community Based Development Organisation One of the vision bearers is MUGABI BENON who also hold the role of the director He grew up in Kooki Rakai from a middle class family, missing school had become part of him since his parent were not able to pay for his school feels on time. His background prompted him think of starting a charity foundation for all that really need love. Currently he cares for 100 children. Offers development and support activities to the needy. We help as many children and offer other development programs to those who need it most through this program.
The children stay in the program from time of registration up to 22years if not departed due to contradictions and not complying with the polices. We think by that age the child through this program will have been changed into a responsible person and can live by his/her own.
The program is aiming at developing children, their families and communities in four aspects of life (i.e. Physical ,socio-emotional, economic and spiritual formation).
We hope to help children grow economically by paying for their families and communities in four aspects of life( ie. Physical , social-emotional ,economically by paying for their school fees in school where they go. They are equipped with livelihood skills like handcraft skills for example making bag bangles ,necklace ,tailoring ,Knitting , Welding and metal fabrication among other skills development activities.
The socio-emotional aspects is tackled in a way that children are taught how to relate well with others and how to deal with their emotions at all times of life.
The physically part children are to be treated when sick are also taught how to live healthy, care givers who are HIV positive are to be encouraged to take their medication and counselled at all times.
Spiritually, children, their families and the community shall be exposed to the love and redeeming gospel of Jesus Christ.
